I think this is the essence of free will - to love freely, and only then can you really love faithfully. with faith comes truth, and the truth is always fruitful.

imagined if your lover was predetermined but determined and shoved to you right on the spot. it’s like an arranged marriage right? but not a lot of people can realize this is similar to the common wish of wanting a partner right here right now. this quote may seem like we have to work and prepare ourselves to be ready for that commitment to ‘get what we want’, but what is that bit of work, in light of having a relationship shoved in your face when neither is really ready.

that kinda appears harsh on what free will is, but if everything is given, then there’s really not much joy to it is there? on the other hand, you can really appreciate what a gift your significant other is. I guess to put it in another way, your significant other is the greatest reward behold by God, and like every great reward you have to prove your worth for it.

‘dear God, thank you for the relationships in my life that are true gifts. I pray that you will help me remember not to take them for granted but rather I should work harder to be just as great of a gift to them as well. thank you for showing me what love is, and how much more potential we have of realizing it.’
